Overview

Fuertaventura is a great winter destination as it has year round mild temps but has waves year round. It is easy to fly to with direct flights leaving Dublin regularly.
The vegetation is arid due to the lack of rain and its vocanic history and so there is impressive scenery. Although Spanish is the main language English is widely spoken due to the large tourist trade. Its a great destination for all levels of surfing but also has something for those non surfing partners and families.

The Climate/Seasons/Water temps
The canaries is a constant 25 degrees year round and although the water temp is always mild enough for a 3\2 or shorty it is not really warm enough for board shorts. The winter season from October to April is the best time to visit the canaries as it is the swell season and the European winter meaning it is warmer than anywere else in Europe and the winds are lighter
