Surf
Costa Rica has been a favourite haunt of American surfers for years but was firmly established on the international surfing map with the Release of Endless Summer 2. Costa Rica is definitely an easy going surf destination which may appeal to many. The water requires no wetsuit and the
waves are often perfect for beginners with many great spots for intermediate surfers. There are barrels to be found but the Costa Rica surf trip is more about the overall experience and if you have a non surfing partner then it may be perfect as there is much to do. There can be crowds at many of the better known spots as it is very popular with Americans but it is possible to escape these by going off the beaten track.
Seasons/Climate/water temp
Costa Rica has 2 seasons with the Euopean Winter being prime season for the Carribean cost from November to Feburary. March to October is the prime season for the more established West coast. The weather is tropical with a constant 30degree air temps. The water is warm year round and board shorts is all you need.
