costa ricagggg

travel tips:

always allow a whole travel day to get from place to place public transport in pretty irregular.

all public transport is surf board friendly but the chicken (local) buses can get pretty crowded and boards can get slammed, also on these buses keep all your valuables in your personal bag dont let them get stowed, bags have a habit of disapearing.

dont bank on buying decent surfboards out there its a pretty scrappy second hand market.

if your travelling during holiday season even american ones try to arrange your accom b4 you get there things book out real quick especially in the popular areas.

if you have a sweet surf board be very security consciousl good boards dissapear in the night.

if you fancy an adventure go camping at witches rock, its a day and a half hike in and you have to carry all your stuff, water included, would be expensive on your own but with a couple of people its not to bad, its a sweet sweet spot

places to stay:
on the nicoya peninsula and in a couple of places in costa theres a chain called tranquilo, $10 includes all you can eat pancakes and internet, most places in costa are a minimum of $10 its only cheaper if you camp.

if your going to be there a while think about renting a cabina, one room normally sharing a communial kitchen off a local, that works out way cheaper.
