Travel tips
Below are a few tips which we will be adding to, send in you own to traveltips@surftrips.ie
- the famous reef breaks often has vocanic rock bottoms amd the waves can pack a punch so make sure you know your abilities
- there are plenty of less famous breaks which are mellower and less crowded so look arround
- the locals have a fierce temper so be careful and best not to leave a hire car to close to the break as violence isnt uncommon
- The islands are small so it is very easy to expore and there is different swell and wind options many semi scret spots that a decent map will help you find
- get up early as the locals dont normally surf at dawn
- There is a very cheap inter island ferry between lanzarote and fuertaventura
- food is often cheap in restaurants and the quality is good if you look arround. Try to avoid the irish/british themed ones if only to help preserve the spanish culture
